Job losses due globalization – can not find numbers

Please, help.
I am a student of economy and trying to find figures of job losses due to globalization.

I am not an American, so do not know where I shall look for this information.

Since 70s, what industries died out? Can you name some "extinct" professions? How the USA trade balance changed since, say, 1980?

I am trying GOOGLE, but get tons of links about opportunities of globalization :Dizzy:
