H1-B & Green card sponsorship

I am considering a career change from Risk management in credit cards to being an actuary. But before I even start tackling the exams I would like to know if companies hiring actuaries sponsor foreign nationals for a) the H1-B visa and b) subsequently the green card.

Any comments/suggestions would be helpful.
