Does anyone know if there are non-profit actuary jobs out there? Someone asked a related question on here about volunteering a while ago, but I'm interested in actually working for a non-profit organization full-time. It seems like any organization in any field would benefit from actuarial analysis, but I don't think many non-profits are making use of it. I'm interested in becoming an actuary to serve this purpose, but I'm wondering if the specific kind of work I want to do even exists. Any thoughts or suggestions?
If I must eventually try to convince a non-profit about the merits of an actuary, would it be absolutely necessary for me to work for a normal company first, to be able to gain the essential knowledge and experience?
