I'd like to sell a brand new S. Broverman Study Guide for SOA Exam M / CAS Exam 3, 2005 Edition. The study guide is separated into two volumes (which I would ship together): Volume I -Life Contingencies and Volume II – Loss Models, Probability Theory and Practice Exams. The 2005 edition is almost identical to the 2006 one -- the only 2006 additions are the new Introductory Study Note and the November 2005 Exam M, both of which can be found on the SOA website. The guide I'm selling was never used or even opened (I happen to have 2 identical study guides since I ordered one myself online w/o realizing that I'd be provided with the same guide by my employer). It has lots of examples and I don't think I would have passed last fall w/o it. The same manual costs ~$140 at Actex, Slide Rule Books, or any other actuarial study material provider; I'm asking for $80 + shipping (from Michigan) and I promise to ship within 48 hours (if it's during the work week, I'll ship same day).

I also have a burned copy of Robin Cunningham’s SOA Exam M / CAS Exam 3 Review Seminar DVD, which I’ll sell for $130 + shipping (Actex sells is for $230).

Please e-mail me if you're interested in either item or if you have any questions: ikalashnikova@hotmail.com.

I didn't really keep track, maybe 60 hours total? I had a lot of the material in school though so I spent the majority of the time doing problems and going through the manual. I started reviewing in September and began doing problems about a month before the exam. The manual has a lot of problems as well as detailed explanations, which I found really helpful.
