Hi all,

I'm too late to register for Exam P for September, I was out of the country until August, didn't even know the test date changed until I came back. Does anyone know what's the next date I'll be able to take the exam? I heard they don't offer Exam P in November anymore.

Also, do I have to take Exam P before being allowed to register for Exam FM? If I can't take Exam P until next year, I was hoping I could take Exam FM in November anyway, don't know if that's possible though. Sorry if this is a dumb question, just thought it might be possible considering you could register for P and FM at the same time before (meaning you could pass FM without passing P).

Exam P will be offered more often now, since it is a Computer-Based Test (CBT). The next one, I believe, is January (you might want to check the SOA website for more information on that).

You do not need credit for Exam P before you take Exam FM. Theoretically, you can take any test you want at any time, but the hierarchy goes: Exam P & Exam FM are independent - you can take one w/out having studied for the other, Exam M depends on both Exam P & FM, and Exam C depends on some of Exam M and P, but not so much FM. And Course 5 & 6 somewhat assumes you know the information from all 4 courses.
