Hey all! I am trying to start late in the game, but I have had a passing interest in the actuarial profession for some time. I graduated with a BS in Math 13 years ago and have been working a few different jobs, most recently in auto claims for a major insurer. Hope this gives me an "in" when I am ready to make the transition!

I'm studying an Actex study guide from the library as well as watching Statistics videos to bone up on the stuff I haven't seen in a while (or not at all). Right now I'm too distracted by the Cavs' playoff run to get anywhere quickly, so I hope to take the P/1 in November.

I'm interested to hear from others who are trying a career change to Actuarial so long after school.
