Exam FM vs. Exam 2

I am preparing for exam FM. I went to www.soa.org site to download some previous exams, but some of the "exam 2" seem to be very different in terms of both content and number of questions in the exam. So what's Exam FM like???

There should be May 05's Exam FM on the website - that'll be your best bet.

The new FM only tests just that--Financial Mathematics (or, Interest Theory). Thus, any questions related to Corporate Finance and Economics are no longer relevant when studying for this test.

Oh, and I believe the SOA Sample Questions are actually from past Course 2's, so this should help you understand the type of questions that are likely to be asked.

And FM is now just 2 hours and 25 questions.

Thanks. That scared me. Yes, I am sitting in on Wednesday. I decided to take this exam this Sept., I wish I had more time to prepare for it. Let's see how it goes... give it a try anyway. Thanks again.

If past exams are good indicators of the future, FM is a lot easier than Course 2. Last exam was released so you should take a look at it.
