Is anybody here a career changer with a major not in math/stat/act sci? My major is medicine and I once worked as a resident and later as a biomedical researcher in labs. But I realized that I need a regular office job. Now I just finished my Master's in Finance and am thinking of taking actuarial exams and already started studying for exam P.

However, although the first two exams seem to be within manageable to me, I'm not sure if I can handle the higher level exams down the road since after all I don't have a solid math background. Does any friend here know any successful case with no math-related background? Also, even though someone like me can survive through, does it mean you have to work so hard that you hardly have time to take care of the family? I'm a woman in my 30's and to me family is equally important to career. Does that really worth it? I'm really struggling with the decision. Any comments are so much appreciated.
