I rarely heard anyone using that. I wonder if it's a good manual to study from. I am using temple and actex. They work for me.
I am using BPP materials ,its really good.Originally Posted by JackSamples

The only advice I can give you about that is IT'S ''''.
I'D LOVE TO SHOVE MY FOOT UP DR. McGONNAN'S A**.
If you use it, you will fail, take my advice. 95% of the USEFULL questions comes straight from the sample Examp P posted on Be An Actuary. Then he gives some '''' explanation for it. The rest are NON-EXAM type questions.
Further, he dosn't teach the math in the manual, he just has questions on it (and like I said, you can find the EXACT same questions from the sample exam)
So DO NOT BUY IT.
If anything, go to Actex's website and get a real study manual, they are all good.
I personally recomend Sam Brovmans manual.
Best of luck.

I am using the ASM Manual by Krzys' Ostaszewski which you can get from the Actex site

I like it. It is succint, covers all in four chapters. Krzys' will also post replies to your questions about the manual very promptly.
The best advise though is to work through a study manual and then do ALL the practice questions many times, then use the practice tests in the study manual.
Proper prior planning prevents poor performance!
Thanks for a good word. Let me add a bad word, in a sense. If anyone is using my ASM Manual, I have to admit the text is not perfect, there are typos and corrections needed. I do apologize. I do want to make it perfect, so I have tried very hard to find all possible corrections, and have posted them here (three links for three editions):Originally Posted by mallkins
