Exclamation Can I become an actuary if...

... I have a felony on my record?

I've already searched the forum for an answers and similar posts but mine is a little different.

Long story short, I was arrested for the first time when I was 21. I was charged with child abuse (reduced... and no this case did not have any violence involved whatsoever), which is a felony, and three misdemeanors. Unfortunately, the state of Florida is strict towards people with certain charges and I am unable to get it expunged. However, I was not convicted of it. I repeat, I was never convicted of anything due to good behavior.

Even though I wasn't convicted, will it be a total waste of time and money going to school to get a B.S. degree in actuarial science? (4 years + enormous tuition)

Also, I just turned 25. Will companies still dig into records further than 7-10 years?

Hey... I'm just trying to get my life back together.
