Interning and studying? Too much?

Hey everyone. I'm just wondering if anyone has had an internship while studying for an exam. Specifically, I'm wondering how difficult it would be to study for the June FM sitting if I were to have an internship starting in May.

I'm a sophomore. I've applied for a few internships. I've only had one phone interview that didn't turn into anything, so I realize I may not get one. Do you think any companies would allow me to start after my exam? Should I include the fact that I would rather start after my exam on my resume/cover letter? Interning and studying for an exam seems like a lot. Is it too soon to expect an internship offer when I don't have any exams passed? Thanks for any help.

Considering that you will probably be taking the majority of your exams during your working days, I hope that you don't find it too difficult. Although it might be difficult at first to find adequate study time while working full time, if you can't manage it, then you probably won't be able to finish your exams once you start your career after college.

Haha yea well I guess that's true. I guess never having worked full time it seems intimidating, especially when I need 300-400 hours of study time. It makes me feel better about it if I know a lot of other people have done it successfully before me.

You mentioned that you are sitting for the June administration of FM. That gives you over 5 months of study time. Start studying now. The FM material is not overly challenging and the problems aren't very theoretical in nature. It shouldn't be a problem. I worked about 37-40 hours a week while studying for FM and it didn't hinder my studies much.
