Jobs for Enrolled Actuaries outside US

    Hi,

I am thinking of becoming an EA. But I have a question. Do Enrolled Actuaries get jobs outside US??

I mean, I know an EA is certified to look after pension funds in the US. but the problem is I am in Pakistan, and even if I do qualify as an EA, I don't think I will get a visa for the US.

So, I was wondering, if there were jobs for EAs outside of US (in the Middle East, Far East, Europe..etc.etc.).

    Thanks

Short answer: no. EA's are a U.S.-specific role [there are pension actuaries outside the U.S., but the EA designation is not used for them] and with 4,600 EA's and the role of the pension actuary declining [as more and more companies shift away from pensions and to defined benefit plans] this might not be the best direction to look to.
