do actuarial students need to have programming skills?

    Hi!
I'm just wondering if actuaries need programming skills. What kind of programming skills are needed to be successful in this field and what type of programs do you need to know to work with?
Your help would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks!

Necessary Computer Knowledge for an Entry-Level Job

How much knowledge of computers are employers looking for when you apply for an entry-level job. I've heard from classmates that you just learn necessary skills on the job. I appreciate any responses. Thanks.

When I was looking for a job It was spreadsheets with pivot-tables. You did not need much at an entery level.
