I've stated my position on personality-based assessments in the past; I'm glad to see some employers moving away from them and get back to relying more on in-person interviews.

I don't think it's bad for employers to use personality screening. I have an unusual personality type, I'm an INTJ. That's rare, especially for a woman. I have had problems fitting in with co-workers at my Accounting jobs. I was asked to quit one job (my co-wokers went to the boss and said all 5 of them would quit if I wasn't fired) because my co-workers didn't like me. I don't slack off, I take exactly 60 minutes for lunch, I don't joke around, I don't come in late, I don't steal office supplies, and I did not think my co-workers were amusing. They said I was kissing up to management and trying to make them look bad. Truth be told, they made themselves look bad. If I had been screened, they would have never hired me, and I would have been spared that experience.
