I registered for the wrong exam on the SOA website, and then called them to ask for a refund. Even though I never scheduled an exam, the customer service representative says she does not want to refund my money. They have a no refund policy, in case someone schedules an exam and then doesn't show up to take it, or cancels at the last minute. Their website states that they do this because they have to pay the scheduled exams even if the person does not show up. I have nothing against this, but I have not scheduled an exam, and I don't see how the terms of their refund policy refer to my situation.
What I ask of you is to please reply to this post if you've had similar experience with them. I don't think this is fair.
