Actuary Monte Carlo application
Hi, I study mathematics and its applications at postgraduate level.
For the present semester I take a lecture on Monte Carlo algorithms.
In order to be successful I must take up a project that has to do with Monte Carlo. The lecture itself does not have to do with actuary or finances in particular but because I'm interested in following the actuary path (you should note that I'm completely noob right now, pre-noob maybe), I would like to learn something that is useful in actuarial science.
To be more specific I should find a (known) problem that is useful in actuarial science and then present a (known) solution through the implementation of a Monte Carlo algorithm.
If someone could propose something I would be glad
