    Which College Would be Best?

I want to be an actuary and have been accepted into three different colleges. Which college and degree combination would be best to follow an actuarial career path?
    1. Georgia State- Major in actuarial science
    2. University of Georgia- Major in Finance and Mathematics (economics?)
    3. Emory- Major in Finance and Mathematics (economics?)

I would prefer to not major in acturial science because it would limit my career choices later on if I decide I do not enjoy being an actuary and taking the exams but is that smart?

You've just explained why you wouldn't choose Georgia State, right? Then the choice is between Georgia and Emory - and for that, you need to do some research on the prestige [and associated costs] of going to each one if you end up not going down the actuarial route.

Emory is much more costly so if cost is not an issue you will find better facilities and labs at Emory . For more details check this comparison chart :-
