What faculty does Acturial Science fall under

May i ask what the Acturial Science course falls under which faculty because in South Africa, it falls under Business Science or somehting like that

I've seen it fall under either mathematics or business (fianance). It varies.

Im a second year actuarial student at the University of the West Indies. Actuarial SCience is found under the maths department , which is apart of the Pure and Applied Science Faculty.

In Brasil, it falls under Business or Math it depend on college inclination. Example: Catolic University falls under Busines and Federal University falls under Math departament

thats for the university of cape town.at wits university it falls under Bachelor of Science-school of statistics and actuarial science but i dont think that it really matters as long as the programme can enable u to get exemptions from the faculty/society of actuaries exams.

Im currently doing something bigger than actuarial science :coolman: at the moment and i dont think that i'll ever go back to finish the remaining exams.

Are u at a university or are u doing self study??
