Post Dealing in death, 'ER' gets needed jolt of life (The Wichita Eagle)

On "ER," everyone dies. That is, except the show itself In its 13th season, "ER" amazingly has defied television's cruel actuarial tables, which if anything have become even crueler in recent years.

I quit watching ER full-time about 4 years ago; I'm shocked anyone is still watching it, considering the show seems to go in a new direction every episode, the writers can't seem to make up their minds what certain characters are supposed to be, and every few weeks it's "this will be the season's most talked-about episode", or something "shocking" happens in the ER (bombing, shooting, fire, ... guy hijacks tank to go back to hospital , ... is there anything that hasn't happened at County General?
