    Actuarial Technician?

Hello, simple question really. I had a company call me today to set up an interview for an actuarial technician position. I had honestly never heard of such a thing. Would this be a good starting position for an entry level person? (I graduate in 2 weeks) Also, would any happen to have a rough estimate of what a person with this title would be paid? I don't want to over estimate what I am worth if this is considered a "lesser" type of position, which I really don't know if it is or not.

    Thanks,
    Spark

Titles are ambiguous and vary from company to company. I've never heard of the position actuarial technician, but it could just be a student program like most analyst positions.

You should compare the job description to others. Also, ask if they offer exam support or not. That would make it more clear as to what type of job this is.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. I applied for an actuarial analyst positon, and I got a call back for the actuarial technician position, which I can't find a thing about on their website. Anyway, I will find out on Friday and post about what it actually does. Thanks for your time.
