Hey everyone,
I have been on quite a few interviews and phone interviews and haven't landed a job yet. My GPA isn't that strong, Cum 3.3 Major 3.5, I have been told that my interviewing skills are pretty good. We talk, laugh, and I answer all the questions with pretty good examples.
My question is, how can I make myself or my resume more appealing to employers? I passed the P, am taking FM in Novemeber, starting to learn SAS and improving Excel...
Is there anything else that I can do?

Quite a few on-site interviews and no job yet? Are you asking them questions? Do you read up on the company, print out any viable news articles off their web, and refer to them in the interview? Do you read the NY Times or the Wall Street Journal the day before, and toss a reference casually in? Are you a straight-on math geek or are you well-rounded with other interests? Do you make comfortable eye-contact with your interviewer? Do you write thank you notes the morning after the interview to everyone you spoke with except the administrative assistant? If you have an on-site interview, I figure that your chances are 1 in 3. Good luck and don't give up!
Do you practice the answers to common questions in advance? Do you ask what you can do to be a success in the prospective position? Do you show an interest in the interests of the interviewer?
For many, they won't care how much you know, unless they know how much you care. Keep at it. Good luck!

This needs to be burned into the minds of everyone who's out interviewing for positions. It's not enough to say, "I've got this list of accomplishments on my resume and I know a lot about your company," you have to leave an impression on the people you're interviewing with that you really want that job and that you won't just be half-''', you'll be outstanding if you get in the door.Originally Posted by JMO Fan

You can't be passive and hope that you did well and that someone will call you with a job offer - you have to leave them thinking when you walk out that door, "we need to hurry up and say 'come work for us' before someone else nabs them."

Thank you everyone for your input and advice! I have read up on every company that I have inerviewed, keep up on news and make sure that they know that I really want the job. I have been told by recruiters that I interviewed really well. I am comfortable with people and making conversation. I have about three more companies that I am in contact with and after these three I'm not sure what to do. I guess I will just keep trying though. Thanks again everyone for the help.
