    Inputting “age band” rate tables to excel

    “Age band” rate tables can be input “longhand” to excel spreadsheets as lookup tables. For example, the rate table;

    Age rate
    <50 0
    51 to 55 0.1
    56 to 60 0.2
    61 to 65 0.3

    can be input as

    Age rate
    16 0
    17 0
    18 0
    19 0
    20 0
    21 0
    22 0
    23 0
    24 0
    25 0
    26 0
    27 0
