With a sad heart, I have to tell you all that I will not be able to post any new exercises. I am just too busy with my work. I will, however, keep all the past questions available as they had been posted over the last five years, and if additional practice problems are posted by the Society of Actuaries, I will post my model solutions to them. I still welcome questions about my practice problems and will answer them in this forum. Good luck to everyone in your studies.

Thank you very much for everything you've posted. I am a working family man, and I do not have the time and funds to complete my college education, but I have been using your exercises (along with a few textbooks) in order to complete my first exam this year. I am hoping a completed exam will help me get in at a company that will help me become more formally educated. I am sure that five years of weekly exercises is quite enough to help me feel I've "been there, done that".
I also promise I will do my best to help others along as I am able.

Covariance is a linear operator in each of its variables. You need to know this for the exam. This problem's purpose is to make you aware of that.
