Where to go for individual entry-level actuary-related career counseling?

Hey folks. I'm a college grad, out of school for a few years, with a graduate degree and one actuarial exam passed. I'm looking to get into the actuarial field and I have a series of questions related to my particular situation -- what my job search strategies should be, how to portray my past, what I can do to improve my prospects, etc. The general advice on the internet is great, but I could really use about 20 minutes of one-on-one actuary-related career counseling.

Where can I go for that? Is this what actuarial recruiters are for? I'm looking for something more individualized than just "submit your contact info and resume and we'll get back to you."

    Thanks

    Update:

I contacted two recruiters. One hasn't gotten back to me. The other did get back to me and says they will try to place me. However I received very little in the way of career counseling, such as pointing out my strengths and weaknesses, telling me how I stand relative to the local and national market, etc. I wonder if this sort of cageyness is typical of recruiters. If anyone knows of a recruiter with a very job-seeker-centered outlook, I'd love to hear names.

For my original question I still don't have a good answer. I suppose people still in college could ask their professors or their advisor or the campus career center. If you know a practicing actuary I suppose they would be a resource. It seems like other than that, you're on your own

Have you asked DW Simpson? Have you e-mailed any actuaries at nearby companies? I've helped a few who PM'd me.
I thought this WAS a real job
