Can anybody try to solve and explain this problem?
Let the distribution function of X for x>o be F(x) = 1- sum of (k = 0 to 3) [x^ke^-x]/k!. What is the pdf of X for x>0. Ans: 1/6(x^3e^-x)

If you differentiate F(x), the pdf that you stated will be F'(x).
