Am moving to Canada from Latinamerica on a resident visa in a few months, and plan to switch from engineering to actuarial sciences. Would a master degree, say from Waterloo or Toronto, be of any tangible advantage, or one is better off just passing as many exams as possible, like in the US?

Merci pour votre atention ;)

I think that passing the exam is more important then the masters if and only if you wold like to get a job in a company, but getting a masters you will get more in academic field

UofT is a good universtiy, but Waterloo is more highly regarded.
Waterloo is the best universtiy in canada, for math and computer science ...

U of T doesn't offer masters in Acturial Science....UW is much better for acturial science. it also offers doctorate in acturial science

Seems like master's is the best route to go for academia, but for a job in the indsustry, sticking with the exams seems to be the way to go.
