I searched SOA and CAS websites and got no answer, is this supposed to be a "secret"?

No, but I don't think they've bothered to publish it. It's 30 questions for Exam P in May 2005.

even though i haven't given an exam but what i have heard from most of my seniors that attempting a paper above 70% is confident enough , an attempt between 60 and 70 is the time for you to pray but below 60 is almost a failure

While there is no official announcement about the number of problems on the May 2005 exam P, there is an official announcement about the September 2005 computer-based exam P: definitely 30 problems in September. I would say that in May 2005 the exam will have 30 problems with 99% probability.
