I am planning to take MFE in Nov 2007.
I am definately going to purchase and study ASM MFE, but do I need the Derivatives Markets textbook as a reference?

For FM, I don't believe the textbook was needed since ASM FM volume 2 had enough explanations.

Please let me know if you think textbook is a must.

Thanks

Hi,

I don't know if you have taken FM and C exams or not but as you know the text book is also a reference for these exams as well...so a text book for 3 exams.

The other is that I find the book "Derivatives Market" an excellent book compare to some other text book about derivatives since I feel that it tells them easier. I personally like it.

But I don't think that it is a must to buy the book.

Derivatives Markets is a pretty good book, not great, but good. I found it a little watered down mathematically, but at least they are never talking over your head, I guess. Anyway, I'm actually looking to sell my copy, let me know if you're interest.
