I am a junior math major student right now. I just decided to look into actuarial, but I didn't take any finance class, only some economics. Is it necessary to take fiance class? Is review material good enough? Thanks.

The system has been revised just this year. It would be beneficial if you could take a two-semester course in finance (which is required to satisfy the VEE requirements), but if you're not able to, or you're almost graduating and won't have time to take those courses, you'll still be able to satisfy the finance requirement through other means. Again, check out these sites:

www.soa.org (http://www.soa.org)
www.casact.org (http://www.casact.org)
www.beanactuary.org (http://www.beanactuary.org)

The last site had some interesting and informative articles, but I'm not sure how much they've adapted to the 2005 SOA conversion. I haven't checked it in a while.

No problem. Less than a year ago, I knew less about the actuarial profession than you do now. I looked into it, managed to find a job, pass a few exams and haven't regretted it since.
