I've been filling out some online forms and some ask for SOA credits...can anyone explain to me how they work?

I've been filling out some online forms and some ask for SOA credits...can anyone explain to me how they work?

Don't worry about those. Before 2000, there were many little exams (for example, Exam M was equal to 2 different, smaller exams), and each of these exams counted as credits toward your ASA. You needed X credits to become an ASA, and Y credits to be an FSA. Of course, since 2000, people no longer use credits. So, if you took exams back before 1999, then you'll need to know what credits are applicable. If not, then don't worry about it.

I'm surprised applications nowadays still ask for credits. It's been gone for 5 years now.
