How much weight does a CFA designation carry towards an actuarial job?
What about an insurance agent license if in the P&C field?

Without actuarial exams it means little. They might help you get an interview but it's the exams that will get you the job.

I better get back to studying.... I need to put these first few tests behind me, quick. Thanks for your input.

Wise choice. Pass those actuarial exams. Later you might try CFA, CPCU, CLU after FSA/FCAS.
