That's what I did too. I drew a square, then quartered it, and a medium sized circle in the middle of the original square. I also put a 1/4 semi circle (like a pocket on a pool tabe corner) in each of the quartered squares. It's not a Venn, I call it a PIBAIHINSIOP1...(pain in the buttox and I hope I never see it on P1!.)
thanks a lot guys....
can anyone please suggest some links that are useful or sources where i can get sufficient practice for the exam? Im using Guo currently. But i feel i need more practice..is the SOA 137 enough? Where can i get more?
I didn't use Guo.
I use Professor O's Manual.
After getting stopped by the MGF section, I returned to "the first course of probability" to get a better idea and did some practices there.
There are 18 practice exams in the manual. 18*30=540.
My goal is to do them TWICE before sitting for the exam in Nov.

Dr. O, are the questions that you post here weekly, almost similar to the ones in your manual? If i just try those done on your weekly post as practice, and SOA 137, are they sufficient enough for me to pass the exam? Thanks
My main advice to everyone who prepares for actuarial exams is to maximize the efforts, NOT minimize. I write manuals that are designed to really prepare you for the exam. If you even asking: is it OK if I only do as little as possible? -- you are mentally not ready for taking actuarial exams. Please read this web site: http://www.math.ilstu.edu/krzysio/pass.html

Dear Professor,
About the 20 practice exams in your new version, are they totally different from the 18 that I am working on in your current version, or they are two extra practice exams after the 18?
If you just put two more there, may I download them online with a fee paid (of course!) to get more practice?
Please advise and thank you.
