    SATs

I am interested in becoming an actuary, and am curious to know the general level of natural math ability that is common to those actuaries and aspiring actuaries on this board. So, what did you all get on your math SATs. Please respond if you read this, even if yours aren't nearly as high as Mr. Doe who responded before you. Thanks everyone.

From what I saw posted on another forum, many have gotten 700 and above. But don't worry if you didn't. If you got a reasonable score - say 600's or so - and have VERY good study habits, you may be able to learn the material and do well. Success on exams has just as much to do with persistence and dedication as it does to raw math skills. (Another factor is how well you have done in courses such as calculus, probability, interest theory, etc that relate to the actuarial exams.)

I don't want to be the first person to say 800.

I didn't take the SAT - but I did take the ACT and got a 36 on the math. IMO it was one of the easiest math exams I've ever taken. *Ever*.
