    That is funny. I am the EXACT opposite - I need music or some sort of faint distraction when I am studying. Otherwise, my thought because the "something shiny" and I gaze off.

    When I'm not studying, I like Coldplay, The Killers, Keane, DMB, Mute Math (not just because of the band's name), and RHCP.

    When I am studying, I cannot listen to any music with voices or lyrics- only instrumental, but no heavy drum beats. So, music like smooth jazz and classical.

    I love Jazz music, and anything that you can dance to. In particular I like Charles Mingus, John Coltrane, and lots of others too.
