This has been brought up before. ASM does have errors. Other manuals have errors. Even textbooks have errors. ASM is prefered by MANY, if you do not like it, get a different manual or read the book and deal with their presentation of the material and (hopefully) less errors.
My personal opinion is that the errors in ASM are, most of the time, not too relevant to my understanding of the material and so I will let them go and keep the errata by my side while studying. Abe W. posts on here and on AO so I can always send him a message and get a response fairly quickly as well as being sure that he keeps the errata updated fairly frequently.
