What to wear?

I'm looking to buy a suit for actuarial jobs and job interviews. I want to look like the people that already work for my employer. I don't want to look like I'm applying to be a fashion model. What kinds of suits are being worn in the industry right now?

Your profile says you're a guy, so I think it's pretty easy. Chances are you will be dressed better than the people working for your employer since you're interviewing (actuarial workers don't typically work in suits day to day unless they're working with clients or upper management). I don't think type of suit matters - just make sure it fits nicely. Have a white shirt or something similarly conservative and boring.

Your perceived appearance will probably be related more to your handshake, personability, posture, eye contact, and clarity of voice. Sorry if this doesn't answer your question.
