    Reserve Formula

    The reserve formula using the prospective method doesn't make complete sense to me. so say the value of the reserve at time t is equal to

    Ax+t - P*a(x+t) (with bars over the a's and p) for some reason to me it should be something like n|Ax - P*(n|a(x))? anyone, preferably someone who teaches this course
