I heard that you can take an exam that is offered year-round to gain VEE credit for Finance. It is along the lines of the course called CPCU 540. Does anyone have any information on this or if this is totally bogus?

I believe that is true, and it is called CPCU 540, as long as you passed it (or pass it) between 2003-2009 it covers the VEE corporate finance credit.

okay this website is how I planned out my VEE credit, it lists both classes from different universities and exams you can take to get VEE credit. There's a link thank will bring you to the standardized exams on the site that count for credit, the link brings you toooo...

^ that site. That will probably be the most help to you, it lists the exam and includes the score you must achieve for it to count and if there's any "catches."
:] good luck!
Thanks a lot.
I can't read that. Maybe want to put this in English.
Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) exams are conducted by American Institute of CPCU & Insurance Institute of America (IIA). CPCU designation is one of the top most designation, one can get in P & C Insurance so this exam is definitely not bogus. For more information on this you can visit

I took CPCU 540 to earn credit for the VEE Corp. Finance requirement so yes this is legitimate. As a side note, the exam should not be taken lightly as it is very thorough.
