I am not good at DM

I am at the point where I am doing practice exams and fixing mistakes. However, I am terrible at the Derivative Market problems. I went through and smashed all the problems in MacDonald so I thought I knew what I was doing.

Anyway, I am curious if any of you are having the same experience or had the same experience. I guess I need to go back and review some more.

I had the problems too when preparing for my FM in May. I studied ASM manual and DM textbook over and over again, then did the practice exercises in the textbook and manual. The method helped me a lot because when I sat for my exam, I could do most of the DM questions.

I know all the formulas for the interest theory part like I know the back of my hand without really having to study intensely.

but for some stupid stupid reason, I always have to think really hard to remember the simplest things in DM like call/put... bid/ask.... long/short.
