Job Description
Allstate Benefits is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to fulfill an internship in the Actuarial Department. The position includes both core actuarial and financial responsibilities as well as business growth-focused training in profitability and risk management areas.
Key Responsibilities
Core Valuation responsibilities may include actuarial projections, month end reporting, strategic claim cost updates, and miscellaneous Company and state reporting. Profitability and risk management work will be more creative in nature and it will be the individual's responsibility to support the Product Actuarial department and concurrently balance multiple projects.
Job Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics or Finance.
- Have passed at least one actuarial exam administered through the Society of Actuaries
- Be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SQL, or be comfortable quickly learning new programming languages or software
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
Compensation offered for this role is between $22 and $32 an hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
