Florida Health Care Plans has been providing health care benefits since 1974. Few organizations have been more active than FHCP in promoting good health and wellness for the members we serve.
Florida Health Care Plans has been a trusted name in the community, with a solid reputation for high quality care at affordable prices. Over 1,054 employers have chosen us to care for their employees. We are here for your health and will be for many years to come.
Florida Health Care Plans provides health care services to members who live or work in our service area of Volusia and Flagler Counties. We offer a wide array of products to serve their needs. We offer traditional HMO products, Point-of-Service with out-of-network benefits, Triple Option with expanded as well as out-of network benefits, High Deductible Health Plans, as well as Medicare, Healthy Kids and Cover Florida Programs.
At Florida Health Care Plans, it is our goal to keep our members healthy. Members are encouraged to see their primary care provider, not only when they are sick, but for annual health assessments and preventive care. Members are also encouraged to participate in the many wellness programs offered by FHCP. Members gain access to a health care system designed to minimize medical costs without sacrificing the quality of care.
We are continually expanding our extensive network of providers to meet our members’ needs. In addition to our plan operated facilities and staff physicians, FHCP contracts with hundreds of providers throughout our community and thousands throughout the United States.
Inpatient care is provided on a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week basis through our contracted area Hospitals, Rehabilitation, Skilled Nursing and Mental Health facilities. Our members also have coverage for emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week inside AND outside of our service area.
